Captivatingly lovely entirely original Swedish clock on a cabinet, c.1850. The face is framed by a wedding bonnet, braided carvings flowing into roses. The panel also has lovely carving and is locked and unlocked with a wooden turn key. We have all stood and admired it and believe that it was very likely a wedding present, but there is no provenance unfortunately.
The face has its original pale gray paint with AAS for Ander Anders Son painted on the clock. The works are cleaned and running very well.
The cabinet has its original working lock. There was never any glass in the bonnet or panel. You can see the pendulum swing in the glass in the panel.
When we walk by this clock, we all smile!
It is fully restored and awaiting your choice of finish.
